You have created a wonderful work Thy! JSB would give this a tick I'm sure. I love your creative use of thematic material - and the way in which your instruments converse with each other. Definitely a hint of Shostakovich in there in terms of some harmonic lines and their sharpness. I really liked this. You have a good feel for strings and how to share the notes around and keep interest. It's a sophisticated piece of music and I can image quite a few quartets wanting to include it as repertoire.

A beautifully haunting opening subject. The frenetic episode/development has great momentum and held my interest to the end. I listened to your piece in parallel with The Art of Fugue BWV 1080. JSB might have heard something like your piece in a dream, and perhaps written it with a little less dissonance in keeping with the style of his time. Nevertheless I'm sure he would have listened to your piece with fascination. I loved it!
