Does this sound better

The person is talking to Rob and mentions that they are recording on Audacity without their microphone plugged in. They want to figure out if that was the problem. They mention that they have now plugged in the microphone and ask if it sounds better. Hi Rob, this is my Audacity recording without my microphone plugged in, so we're going to try and figure out whether this was the problem. I've just plugged the microphone in, and I think it should automatically change to my actual microphone. Does this sound a lot better?
