The severity of the infection is also high, causing between 1,200 to 1,900 deaths per year. Additionally, there are a significant number of cases each year, ranging from 11,000 to 24,000. For the epidemiology of Streptococcus pyogenes, the frequency of infection, trends tend to show that rates in adults is low, but in children is up to 20%. The severity of infection is pretty high. In between 1,200 to 1,900 people die per year from this infection. And the cases per year are significantly higher. There's about 11,000 to 24,000 cases per year just from this infection alone.
