The speaker followed the traditional path of going to school, getting good grades, and working hard. However, they realized that success doesn't come from working long hours and sacrificing everything. They found success by focusing on their strengths, building relationships, and diversifying their income. They encourage women to prioritize enjoying life and not just working through it. I was told, go to school, get good grades, work hard. I did all that and they never told me to work a holiday. I worked crazy hours, getting that high, that promotion and that next client. And oh my god, I was so exhausted. Today, I'm a carer just working six hours a day and here's the secret to my success. I don't smart, I don't waste time on what I'm not good at. Instead I focus on my strengths and don't need everything else. I invest in relationships so people who know me, like me and trust me are more likely to give me the opportunities that I need to succeed. And finally, I have my first change of income. My business, my mutual fund investments, my coaching, my startup investments, etc. Because I realised that true success isn't in the hours you work, but in the moments that you cherish and the freedom that you achieve. Being a former workaholic is my advice to all of you women out there. You deserve to enjoy your life, not just work through it. And if you agree, drop a comment and send this to a woman who needs to hear this.
