The Book of Proverbs or Proverbs of Solomon (King David’s son) is best described as its namesake for a proverb is a short saying that conveys wisdom and instruction just as the book itself begins with, “To know wisdom and instruction, to discern the sayings of understanding...” If one desires to learn truth and act according to wisdom, then this book truly is a hidden treasure (Prov 2:4).
