I got interested in words as a little girl. I had a younger brother, and we used to fight all the time, and you know what my mother used to do for punishment? She used to get us to write words. I remember one of them, we had to write lines, a hundred lines. To be polite is to do and say the kindest words in the kindest way. Can you imagine writing that a hundred times? Well, it led to us learning points after that, and what do you know? It led to us getting, well, me, for example, getting interested in the works of Shakespeare.
