The "Bible (STE) NT 20: Ιακώβου (James)" is a book that is part of the Stephanos 1550 edition of the Bible. It is specifically addressed to the twelve tribes of Jerusalem who are scattered abroad, as well as to all those who believe in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The book contains a series of encouragements and exhortations that are closely related to the famous Sermon on the Mount. Its main focus is on reigniting a genuine and vibrant faith and on practicing repentance, trust, humility, and self-control. The author of the book, Saint James, was chosen by the apostles to be the first Archbishop of Jerusalem. He lived a holy, strict, and ascetic life. According to tradition, he was stoned to death by unbelieving Jews just before the siege of Jerusalem, after being thrown down from the temple.
