The teacher emphasizes creating a comfortable and family-like atmosphere in the classroom by displaying artwork, photos of activities, and even pictures of students' families. The teacher believes that involving students in establishing rules and expectations is important and these should be clearly displayed on the classroom wall. Regularly reviewing these rules helps students become self-aware and hold themselves and their classmates accountable for their behavior. Classroom walls. I am all about making a classroom have a home-like, family-like feel. I feel it just helps the kids be comfortable and, you know, whenever they have artwork that they do, put their pictures up on the walls. Put pictures of them performing activities or playing or whatever. Just take pictures of them, put them up around the room. Even if they want to bring a picture from home of their family and put that on the wall in your classroom. And I feel like that the kids would really love and enjoy that. Rules and expectations should be established by the teacher and students together. I'm very big on this. I feel like that it's just a great idea. They should be clearly displayed on the classroom wall and gone over regularly. This helps the kids become self-aware, hold themselves and their classmates accountable for their behavior and for their actions.
