Nothing to say, yet
You are the dream that floats me through night's long shadows, And loneliness holds me fast in its frigid embrace. I look for you in sable midnight skies, When frost decks the trees like fig tree lace. The moon smiles down on both our worlds, Though far apart we are destined to be. She knows my heart languishes each hour, For you to smile disarmingly only for me. There is no other who can raise me up, Or make me smile in times of woe. At the sound of your name my soul rejoices, Yet after you leave, unshed tears freely flow. You are the sunrise that breaks each dawn, The music in the sound of true lovers' sighs, The laughing, evanescent stream that dances, The rainbow after the raging rainstorm dies. Without you my days would fall back into shade, My flesh would shiver in winter's breath, The beauty of nature would fade before my sight, And all would weep at its untimely death. You make me wonder at my own reawakening, Though dormant it was for many a year. Then you emerged and breathed life into my very being. How I longed to hold you tenderly near, Like a marionette, too long I danced to another's tune. Till you came along and severed the strings, You freed my spirit to soar like a bird once more. For you are the wind beneath my broken wings. You are the wind beneath my broken wings.
