Violet Visions

A snake straws her damask drapes over the air And fired visions dance within my dreams I conjure your presence to my sight My hands reach over and stroke the hair from your face And I am captivated by the sapphire spell of your eyes I whisper your name in sweet reverence The love I feel, a love which took me by surprise Yet fills my heart to overthrowing The rhythm of your voice carries me to shores of serenity Where I am rocked into a reverie of romance and desire The music of our love reaches the heavens And angels weep, for even in heaven Such exquisite harmony cannot be heard Yet our love astreased flies deep within my imagination For your limerence flows over another Locked in your heart as you are locked in mine So come to me, swathed in a clandestine cloak of intimacy For I am free to love you at my will in divine deliberation For only then may I declare my innermost devotions Though the seasons change, my love never shall It will remain a sweet taste of summer on my sunken skin To warm me through the bitter chill of winter's embrace
