On a hill by the Mississippi River, the young bride of a sailor sits, gazing at the Mississippi, where the great paddle steamers dock, looking out for her honey who was been at sea for long time ago and has not returned since. She worries that something might have happened to him at sea, such as being swept overboard during a storm or if the ship was shipwracked at Cap Horn.
