The present Andantino for 2 flutes, oboe, horn, trumpet, triangle, tambourine, cello and double bass is a very free arrangement of No. 1 "Le Myrte" from "A Selection of My Favorite Flowers" op. 46 by Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829). This collection "Choix de mes Fleurs cheriés" contains 10 character pcs. Each individual piece is titled after a different flower. The original was composed for solo guitar. I dedicated this character piece to my dear friend, Mrs. Jana Házová, with heartfelt admiration.
