Today, we practiced giving empathy to ourselves during a time long after we have observed an incident. We imagined a "perpetrator" having inflicting suffering on a "victim." We gave ourselves empathy. We also explored an alternative technique of writing but not delivering a full communication of what happened when were agitated. We revisited the purpose of our work: to learn to re-language some of the things we say, and, to enter the space between our observations and our judgments.
