Winston Churchill, born in 1874, was a British politician and two-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He played a major role in the resistance during World War II and helped Charles de Gaulle. Known for his scathing rhetoric, Churchill passed away in 1965. Good morning everybody. Today I am going to tell you about Winston Churchill. Winston Churchill, whose real name was Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, was a British politician. He was born on November the 30th of 1874 in one of the biggest and most luxurious properties of England, the beautiful Blenheim Palace. He was the son of Lord Randolph Churchill, who was a famous politician. He was first of all a soldier, then a journalist, a deputy, but most of all a two-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The first time was from 1940 to 1945 and later from 1951 to 1955. The day of his nomination, he said in his speech, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. He played a major role during the famous World War II in the United Kingdom's resistance. He particularly helped the General Charles de Gaulle. He was one of the first ones to recognize him as the leader of the Free France. He is also known for his scathing rhetoric. Here is one. In England, everything is allowed except what is forbidden. In Germany, everything is forbidden except what is allowed. In France, everything is allowed even what is forbidden. In the USS, everything is forbidden even what is allowed. This great symbol of the United Kingdom sadly died in London on January the 24th of 1965.
