Details

This is a range of adaptations of the 15th century Christmas hymn Noel Nouvelet, known in English-speaking nations as "Sing We Now of Christmas" or the Easter anthem "Now the green blade riseth". It's composed in the Dorian mode. The collection includes drone-like renditions, evoking the sounds of bagpipes or the hurdy gurdy, along with whimsical and peculiar rhythmic variations. There are also solo performances in the bass section and intriguing harmonic peculiarities. The performances are by Anita Szabó, Ildikó Szabady, Iza Nagy, and Boglárka Dávid.
