Toccata: I Believe in One God (Credo III)

Mary Beth Bennett's organ piece was specially created for the School Sisters of St. Francis to mark the centenary of the St. Joseph Chapel dedication in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2017. This composition incorporates elements of the Gregorian Chant Credo III, Sr. Theophane Hytrek's "Blessing of St. Francis," and a soggetto cavato based on "School Sisters of St. Francis". Sr. Mary Jane Wagner OSF, the chapel's resident organist, played this composition on the St. Joseph Chapel's Casavant organ, Opus 3493 I, built in 1981.
