The Dogs of War

This composition, also my debut symphony, was crafted with the aspiration of becoming a finalist in the Young Composers Challenge of 2016. The melody is largely inspired by the iconic line "Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war" from one of William Shakespeare's timeless plays, Julius Caesar. The line is delivered in a moment of solitude by Mark Antony, who is standing beside the lifeless body of Julius Caesar shortly following his assassination. Antony, during his monologue, expresses his plan to provoke the masses at Caesar's funeral.
