Süsser Die Glocken Nie Klingen

The Austrian carol "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen" (Sweeter the bells never sound) boasts lyrics penned by Friedrich Wilhelm Kritzinger and is set to a traditional folk song tune. First published in 1860, this rendition sources both its lyrics and melody from the Vienna Boys Choir. It features an arrangement for tenor and treble, where the treble carries the melody for the initial two verses. However, in the concluding verse, the tenor assumes the melody while the treble performs a part akin to a descant.
