Suite Grandkids II: Lullaby for Mary Jane and Morning Song for Rose Eleanor

In 2005, I created <i>Suite Grandkids</i>, a collection of six musical pieces, each one dedicated to one of my grandchildren. These pieces were arranged for a classical guitar trio. As I welcomed more grandchildren in 2013 and 2016, I felt the need to craft another set of trios for the guitar. I took inspiration from the compositions of their father (my son, Richard), using them as the harmonic base for both pieces while infusing new melodies and supplementary harmonies. The entire set has a performance time of 11 minutes, although each piece is also designed to be performed independently during a concert.
