This narrative was composed during the summer of 2000 for the Lochrian Ensemble who were at the initial stages of recording all the string quartets. In relation to the other quartets, this piece reverts to the classical style, thereby establishing an equilibrium between the traditional quartets numbers 1, 2, and 6 and the more varied quartets numbers 3, 4, and 5.
