String Quartet No 2

Originally composed as Piano Sonata No.1 [B12] towards the end of 1981, this piece underwent a transformation into a string quartet in the commencement of 1990. It comprises four distinct movements, all of which borrow their tonal, atonal, or serial themes from the music found within the initial seven bars. Following this introduction, the first movement adheres to a traditional sonata form, intelligently blending tonal and serial themes within perpetually shifting rhythms. The subsequent movement embarks on an Adagio al progression.
