Stars - a carol for two voices, guitar and flute

In 2004, I composed a carol for the festive gathering famously known as A Star For Christmas. My intent was to encapsulate the profound nature of a birth where the mother is aware from the moment of conception that her child is destined to die by execution, yet the purpose is the salvation of mankind. Despite the inevitable outcome, the joy associated with the event is undeniable. However, the epiphany that must have dawned on Mary at that instance must have been nothing short of extraordinary.
