The renowned Czech composer Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904) is an integral part of Czech national culture. His compositions have been performed consistently both domestically and internationally for more than a hundred years. From 1878 to 1880, Dvořák's body of work is often described as the "Slavic" phase, indicating a clear influence of Slavic folk music.
