The Suite of Shavano consists of four compositions that draw inspiration from local legends and campfire stories of the Mount Shavano/Maysville region in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. The individual titles for each movement are: Shavano's Angel, Tie Hacks, The Hanging Tree, and Charlie Reynolds' Grave. This suite is arranged for a duet of classical guitars. The creator of the suite plays the first guitar in this recording. The second guitar is handled by Steve Waechter for the opening two movements, while the concluding two are performed by Elwood Colahan.
