Shards - For Trumpet, Marimba, Vibraphone and Percussion

Shards is a composition designed for four to six performers, including trumpet, marimba, and multi-percussion instruments. The trumpet role can be fulfilled with a C trumpet, flugelhorn, or a Bb trumpet. The percussion arrangement necessitates five temple blocks, both high and low bongo drums, and five tom-toms, which can be managed by one multi-percussionist or divided among three performers. The musical piece consists of four brief movements, each with different tempos and styles. The total running time of the performance is approximately 8 minutes and 15 seconds.
