My initial encounter with Lars Ek Hot Trio dates back to the fall of 1982. This happened in Bergen, during the yearly registration of accordionists at TREKKSPILLGALLA in Grieghallen, where Lars Ek had been relatively unknown until then. There's a recurring Swedish influence at these autumn events, with renowned names like Ebbe Jularbo, Roland Cedermark, and the Norwegian-Swede Olaf Wernersen among others. However, none have quite captivated the audience like Lars Ek Hot Trio. Experiencing the "original" Frosini was a highlight.
