My initial encounter with Lars Ek Hot Trio dates back to fall 1982. It happened in Bergen amid the annual recruitment of an accordionist named TREKKSPILLGALLA at Grieghallen, a location where Lars Ek had been previously unknown. It's a tradition to have a Swedish influence during these autumnal gatherings. Notable names include Ebbe Jularbo, Roland Cedermark, and the Norwegian-Swede Olaf Wernersen, among others. However, no one had ever captivated the audience the way Lars Ek Hot Trio did. It was truly an experience to witness the "original" Frosini.
