The renowned Organist, Composer, and Educator, Alexandre Guilmant (1837-1911), primarily created music for the Organ, with many of his compositions still being popular in today's Organists' repertoire. Apart from the Organ, he also composed for the Harmonium, an instrument not commonly heard in modern times. One of his pieces, originally composed for Cello & Piano, particularly piqued my interest. This composition has been reinterpreted and slightly modified to suit a Clarinet Quartet. While it's not overly challenging to perform, it offers a highly pleasing auditory experience.
