The instrumental quartet is an adaptation of my choral composition, "The Choir in the Rain." This piece is a musical arrangement of a series of limericks I penned, envisioning how a choir might perform in rain, complete with the symptoms of colds such as coughs, sneezes, and fever. The original limericks are as follows: (Introductory words: pitter patter pom etc) The choir, under our conductor's reign, was trained to sing amidst the rain. The sheets got drenched, causing us to clench, until we had to abstain. Retreating indoors, we began to sing again...
