Persephone Dances for Flute and Piano

Alicia Dine on the flute, accompanied by Richard Roderick Jones on the piano, presents Persephone Dances. It is inspired by Persephone, the Greek goddess of Spring, who divided her time between the underworld with Hades and the earth's surface. Each segment represents these alternating periods. The initial section features a dramatic contrast between the piano's explosive sounds and the flute's melodious tunes, with the piano's sustain pedal being continuously engaged.
