My initial encounter with Lars Ek Hot Trio dates back to the fall of 1982. This experience unfolded in Bergen amid the yearly enlistment of accordionists at the event known as TREKKSPILLGALLA in Grieghallen, where up until that point, Lars Ek was a stranger. A Swedish influence has always been a staple at these autumn gatherings. Prominent figures such as Ebbe Jularbo, Roland Cedermark, and the Norwegian-Swede Olaf Wernersen are just a few examples. However, none had ever enraptured the crowd like Lars Ek Hot Trio did. Witnessing the "original" Frosini was indeed an extraordinary experience.
