This instrumental duet is inspired by a melody I composed just prior to my numerous performances at the New Troubadour Club at Follies Wine Bar in Manchester in 1991. Faced with the looming threat of creative stagnation, or "writer's block", I decided to write about that very struggle, incorporating elements of blues into the mix.
