The Opus 3, Five Preludes for Solo Piano, were crafted as a light-hearted and (largely) jovial collection of brief piano preludes. I envisioned these as an energetic kick-start to a solo piano concert. As an up-and-coming composer, there's a common allure to create profound, weighty compositions to validate our artistic depth. However, in these pieces, I chose a contrasting approach, aiming to elicit a smile from the audience members.
