This audio piece for recorder orchestra was composed specifically for the Manchester Recorder Orchestra and debuted in February 2015. Little Laser Lady, the title of the piece, is inspired by a poem from a friend of the composer. The poem celebrates the composer's girlfriend, soon to be his wife, known for frequent visits in her Australian-made Laser car. The lyrics encapsulate her as the afternoon sun, the familiar of the night, arriving on a beam of golden light, and as gentle as the fragrance of camelia.
