This recorder orchestra piece, performed by the Manchester Recorder Orchestra in February 2015, was composed specifically for them. The central theme of Landscape before Sunrise is the various global expressions signifying "Goodnight," drawing inspiration from the multicultural panorama visible from my 18th-floor apartment in London.
