Composed in the minor pentatonic scale, incorporating elements of the renowned Sakura tune, this piece was created as a tribute to the late Takashi Miyatake. Miyatake was instrumental in introducing me to a clarinet quartet in Japan, who have since showcased several of my compositions. The Budapest Scoring Clarinet Ensemble beautifully performs this piece here.
