Kikkik - The Last Ihalmiut to Leave the Canadian Barrenlands

This composition, arranged for a classical guitar group and a narrator, narrates the heartbreaking tale of the inland Inuit's extermination in Canada's Barrenlands. Having endured numerous bouts of illness and famine, Kikkik was the final individual from her tribe to leave the wilderness and integrate into society. The performance duration is 18 minutes, and it requires an intermediate level of proficiency. The composer himself performs all sections and the storytelling in this recording.
