This is the inaugural live rendition of "Io son la primavera," a madrigal by William Hawley from <em>Seven Madrigals</em>, performed in its original key for ATBar.B voices. It was specifically composed for the vocal group Chanticleer in 1986. All seven live performances from the premiere are available for individual download on this site by title, including the original autograph manuscript score. This manuscript score and the premiere recordings are unique from Hawley's <em>Six Madrigals</em>, which were published in 1996.
