Several years back, I composed a melody for a poem by Kenneth MacLeod, intended for vocals and guitar. This current rendition is a string quartet interpretation of my original composition, which further intensifies the poem's enigmatic nature. The poem describes an encounter with an unknown individual. It details the provision of food, drink, and music in their respective places for this stranger. In return, the stranger, thought to be Christ in disguise as per the lark's song, bestows blessings on the observer's home, livestock, and loved ones. The performance features the violin.
