This is an adaptation of a classic Christmas hymn, masterfully arranged by Edgar Pettman and restructured for a male choir. The first verse narrates a maiden seated and singing, as she lulls a child, a lovely Lord. She softly sings "Lullay, lullay, my treasured son, my dear one. Lullay, lullay, my precious heart, my own beloved." The second verse reveals that this child created all things, being the Lord of lords and the King of kings. The third verse talks about the immense joy and heavenly bliss that accompanied the birth of the child, resulting in great celebration and mirth.
