This is an instrumental duo inspired by my rendition of Marie Keyser's poem, "La Tour de Hölderlin". It speaks of a structure standing near a dozing river, with a willow tree close enough to touch the water with its peak. The old church tells time on the island where night descends, its grey roof blending with the water's hue. I sense madness, silence, and vigilance in my wooden tower dwelling. The plea is not to alter what remains, what must remain. The poets, they are the ones who create what endures.
