HAMBO FROM BREIM

My initial encounter with Lars Ek Hot Trio dates back to the fall of 1982. It occurred in Bergen amidst the yearly recruitment of accordionists at the event known as TREKKSPILLGALLA in Grieghallen, where Lars Ek had been previously unknown. A Swedish influence has become a staple at these autumn gatherings, with notable names such as Ebbe Jularbo, Roland Cedermark, and Norwegian-Swede Olaf Wernersen among others. Yet, no one has captivated the audience quite like Lars Ek Hot Trio did. Witnessing the "original" Frosini was a unique experience.
