FORS MAJEURE

I first became familiar with Lars Ek Hot Trio in the fall of 1982. The encounter happened in Bergen, during the annual TREKKSPILLGALLA accordionist recruitment at Grieghallen, where Lars Ek had been relatively unknown up until then. Over the years, it's become a tradition to add a Swedish flair to these autumn events, with big names like Ebbe Jularbo, Roland Cedermark, and the Norwegian-Swede Olaf Wernersen, among others. However, no one has quite captured the audience's attention like Lars Ek Hot Trio did, offering a taste of the 'original' Frosini.
