The bergamasca refers to a robust dance from the 16th century that humorously portrayed the perceived clumsy behavior of the residents of Bergamo, a region in northern Italy where the dance is believed to have been originated. This particular performance showcases variations of the dance for clarinet and guitar, which is a re-arrangement of the original cello and guitar version that can also be found on YouTube. This re-arrangement is based on one of the initial bergamasca melodies. The performance features Balázs Rumy on the A Clarinet and András Csáki on the guitar.
