Henry Purcell's composition "A New Ground (ZT 682)" has been arranged for a Flute Choir. Originally created for the harpsichord in E minor, it was part of a musical performance, more accurately referred to as a semi-opera, titled "Welcome to All the Pleasures". Purcell was only 24 years old when he composed this operetta. The current version has been adapted for a Flute Quintet, including two flutes, one alto, and two bass instruments.
