The speaker introduces their new Formula 1 podcast called Talk the Grid. They explain how they came up with the idea and their goals for the show, which include discussing the latest news, sharing their opinions, and attracting new fans to the sport. They also provide some background information about themselves, including their studies and favorite drivers. The episodes will be published bi-weekly due to their busy schedule. They ask for reviews and suggestions from listeners. Hey guys, welcome to the maiden episode of Talk the Grid, a brand new Formula 1 podcast that I am creating. I'm Sarah, and this episode is really just going to be a glimpse of what I hope the show is going to be, what I hope to bring to the show, a little bit about who I am, and some more information besides that as well. So, shall we get going? To start this episode from the very beginning of the impulsive idea that it came from, while most likely procrastinating, I've been wanting to create a podcast for about a year, but never knew exactly what to make it about. I mean, I bounced between multiple different ideas, and just really never settled on one. Until about two weeks ago, I was watching a clip of Girls Just Wanna F1, their Abu Dhabi episode, and I thought, oh, that's really cool, you know, maybe I'll do something about Formula 1. And so I started slightly researching podcast creation, how to edit audio, things like that, and was really aiming for July to start producing episodes and publishing them. And so I was listening to Lizzie's Going Purple. I'm sure you guys know about it. I mean, it's Lizzie McIntosh, you know, like, of course you know about it. And, like, a few days ago that happened. I was like, you know what, I'm going to start this right now, because why not? And that's what I'm doing. You know, it's 8.30 on a Friday night, and I'm recording a podcast episode in my college dorm. So my goals for this show are really simple. It's just to have an outlet to talk to Formula 1 fans about possibly new Formula 1 fans, to talk about the sport's latest news, my opinions and possibly hot takes about the sport, and hopefully bring in new fans and just explain what it's really about. So a little bit about me is that I am currently in school working on a public relations degree. My goal is to work in F1, preferably with the teams with social media, but, you know, I wouldn't complain. So a little bit about me in the F1 sense is that I've been a fan since last March around, like, Baku time. And my favorites are... let's do top five real quick. Lando, Alex, Oscar, Logan, Lewis. So I'm definitely a big McLaren and Williams fan. I absolutely adore them. A little bit about the schedule or when I plan to publish episodes of this show is bi-weekly. I mean, I am a full-time student and a student athlete as well, so it's going to be a bit complicated, but hopefully with those two weeks in there, you know, I can fit episodes in and get new content out for you guys. That was really all I had for this episode. It's just a really short, like, maybe five-minute glimpse at the series. And so I hope you guys are as excited about this show as I am. Please, please, please leave a review on whatever you're listening on. And go ahead and go over to the socials and comment what you guys would like to hear me cover in upcoming videos. And, yeah. See you next time. Bye.
