I would like to share the story of how this song came to be written. The year was 1943. A sister was lying near deaths door for days, many Ministers came and prayed but she grew worse, Rev. Vip Ellis went prayed, preached and sang all night with her and as a result of his faith, this song was born, I remember as a young kid, my Dad and Mr. Vernon Cypert who sing these songs at the quarterly county singing at different churches and our local church. I loved those two men of God........
