But it's given us a lot of time to work on our cases that we want to record and get a clear head. Yeah, it's been a much-needed mental health break. Now we can get back into busting cases wide open. So I'm just going to do a quick trigger warning before we start. This episode discusses topics related to domestic violence, emotional abuse, and suicide in the context of the Gabby Petito case. So today we begin by exploring the early chapters of Gabby Petito's life, a young woman whose warmth and ambition left a mark on everyone that she encountered. We'll cover her upbringing, how those close to her described her, and move into the beginnings of her relationship with Brian Laundrie. I think it's great. When this case came out and I was following it on TikTok and all this stuff, no one kind of understood how to pronounce his name. And they were kind of like Laundrie. And then now it's obviously like now that there's a Netflix show and they actually say his name and it's Laundrie, which is obviously how it's spelled. But, you know, you just never know because Laundrie actually means dirty clothes. But I was looking when I was doing the research. And there are so many like memes of just like laundry piles of washing stuff and like the Laundries. And I was like, honestly, as we as we unfold this case. Yeah. Dirty pile of laundry. And that's being nice. Yeah. Okay. Gabby was born on March 19th, 1999 in Blue Point, New York. From the very start, people who knew her described her as creative, outgoing and full of optimism. Neighbors recalled a girl whose smile brightened community gatherings and teachers noted her curiosity and an artistic flair that set her apart from her peers. One childhood friend once said, And her personality shone through long before she became a social media presence. As Gabby grew up, friends, teachers and family alike remarked on her genuine kindness and boundless energy. Those who later followed her online commented on her sincere approach to sharing life experiences, a blend of vulnerability and strength that resonated deeply with her audience. Even as a teenager, Gabby was drawn to the idea of exploring new places. Her early writings and posts hinted at an inner drive to adventure beyond the familiar streets of Blue Point and Long Island. This desire to connect with the world wasn't just a passing fancy. It laid the foundation for the adventurous spirit she would later pursue in her travel blog and social media channels. And as she moved into adulthood, Gabby's life took a new turn when she began dating Brian Moultrie around 2019. For a time, their relationship appeared full of promise. Friends and acquaintances who observed their early days noted how naturally they complemented each other. They shared a love of nature, outdoor adventures and, above all, an infectious optimism about the future. Yeah, their relationship soon deepened. Not only did they bond over a mutual love of travel, but Gabby also took a significant step by moving into Brian's parents' home. Early on, Brian's family welcomed her warmly, especially his mother, who was involved in the day-to-day life of the household. For many, this move symbolised commitment and the merging of two worlds. However, as the months went by, Gabby began to feel the strain of sharing a living space that wasn't entirely her own. Several sources close to the case have revealed that, during this period, Gabby frequently experienced her discomfort and the constant presence of Brian's mother. In text messages later shared with family members, Gabby was candid about her feelings. For example, one text message sent to her own mother read, Mom, I'm really struggling here. I feel like I have no space to be myself with Brian's mum around all the time. It's overwhelming. This message reflected the growing tension she felt in an environment where her individuality was being crowded out. Yeah, I mean, when you're living with your boyfriend and their family, and I don't know if you've done that before, but I have, and it is so hard because the mother usually, and I'm not saying this in every situation, but from my experience, the mother always knew when we were fighting. Yeah. She could always hear it or she'd always be involved in it. You get a feeling, like there's a feeling or vibe in the house when people are arguing. 100%. And if you're someone who needs your own space and you need some time just to chill, it's so hard. Yeah. Yeah. And so around the same time, Gabby also messaged Brian directly with similar concerns. In a brief exchange that has been partially documented, she wrote, quote, Brian, I need some time to breathe. I love you, but your mum's constant involvement is starting to feel suffocating. Can we talk about finding some boundaries? Brian's response was measured. He reassured her that everything was fine, promising that they would work through it together. Yet, those messages now stand as an early sign of the difficulties that were yet to come. Despite these growing tensions, the early days of their relationship remained largely filled with hope. Gabby continued to pursue her dreams with determination. Alongside her efforts to build their future together, she took a job at Taco Bell, a detail that might seem mundane, but it was crucial. The earnings from that job were instrumental in funding the plans they had for a van life blog, an expression of their shared desire to document their adventures and live life on their own terms. Working at Taco Bell was definitely not glamorous, but it was a reflection of Gabby's resolve. Every paycheck represented another step towards launching what she believed would be a vibrant travel channel. A project that was part dream, part necessity. Friends later recalled how she would talk about building something special, even when the reality of daily life, like a long trip to Taco Bell, was far from what most would consider an adventure. It was during this period that the couple balanced hope and everyday challenges. Moving into Brian's parents' home was meant to be a foundation for their future, yet the close quarters gradually began to take a toll on Gabby, as evidenced by the candid texts she sent. She struggled with the loss of personal space and the emotional toll it took on her wellbeing. Those early days filled with both promise and subtle unease revealed a complex picture. On one hand, you had the exhilaration of a young couple chasing a dream, the idea of van life, the excitement of road trips, and the joy of shared adventures. But on the other hand, there were early warning signs that all was not perfectly harmonious behind the scenes. Gabby's honest messages about feeling overwhelmed hinted at a deeper conflict that would come to shape the narrative of their relationship in the months ahead. It's clear from these early accounts that Gabby was a young woman of immense ambition. Her determination to create a life filled with travel and exploration was evident. At the same time, the challenges of merging her life with someone else's, especially in an environment where she felt intruded upon, began to surface. The happy beginnings of her relationship with Brian were, from the start, marked by the kind of contradictions that would later complicate their journey together. By early June 2021, Gabby and Brian had made the decision to leave Brian's parents' house. Their plan was to follow a shared vision of freedom and adventure, a life on the open road. On June 17th, they packed up their belongings and set off in a white 2012 Ford Transit van that had been converted into a mobile home. In America, and just doing like a couple of national parks and stuff. And even that, it's like, you're not confined to a hotel or, for them, like not even a exact time. Like they were, they saved up their money. They are going to be like, live out the back of the van. They have like a little kitchen in there and all sorts of stuff. So they could just, it wasn't going to cost them a lot. And yeah, I think, exciting. Like the independence that, they're like early twenties. They've got no, And after living in a home with like, you know, his family and her feeling kind of like stifled by it. Yeah. There would be like this immense freedom and just like wanting to just go. Yeah. Yeah. And they had that opportunity to just be like, just pack our shit, get in the car. When we come back, don't know. Yeah. When we come back, who cares? Like, Yeah. Fucking anxiety. Yeah. It was just me. I'm very much a planner. I need to have a, It doesn't need to be tight, but like, I need to know where we're going and what we're doing. Yes. Yeah. And with that said, they hit the road with high hopes and meticulous planning. So it turns out, you know, So on June 21st, Gabby shared photos from Monument Rocks, Kansas, displaying wide open spaces and the first hints of an adventure unfolding. While social media painted an inspiring picture, Gabby continues to check in with her mother through text messages. In one early text from June, Gabby wrote something like, It'd be so hard to like, talk to your mom whenever you feel like it, like a drop of a dime, you know? Yeah. But I feel like at the same time, you're in a car, like, you know, you can go back. Yeah. Like, there's like, in your, like, there is a, I'm driving away. I am leaving. But then, you know, worst case, just swing around. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, it is a, it would have been bittersweet. It would have been so excited, but also like, I am walking the wrong direction. Yeah. Yeah. So as the couple moved west, they navigated through Colorado and Utah. In early July, around the 4th of July weekend, they sought iconic spots such as the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Zion Natural Park. On July 26th, Gabby posted images from Mythic Hot Springs in Utah, where the natural beauty seemed to echo the promise of their new life. During these weeks, Gabby kept her mother updated with regular check-ins. In one message dated early August, she texted, And I mean, yeah, it can be very isolating to travel. Yeah, and like, where they go. Like, we've seen movies. We know how vast those roads in America are. It's open roads and long. And they've got no friends, you know, with them. Yeah. It's literally just the two of them. And it's like, what happens when they have an argument? Like, you know, you don't have mom's house that's down the road away from how it is to drive to. There's not even anywhere to, yeah, I'm just going to pop out for a couple of hours. Out of what? Out of what? You drive and live in the same place. And you can't very well, like, pick up your phone in front of your man's. Hey, mom, my man's being an asshole. Yeah. He's looking directly into your phone. Yeah. You've got nowhere to go to, like, have a safe space for a second. And not necessarily, say, physically, but just emotionally or mentally. Like, whatever it is you need in that moment, it's harder to get from that life, you know. Well, yeah. And even in the best of relationships, you know, you still have time apart. You know, when you go to work or you have a weekend or a night out with the girls or the guys or whatever. I'm, like, trying to think of what normal people do. Me and Matt do everything. I'm just in my room writing transcripts while Matt's making me some sourdough. And we don't speak for about 30 minutes. Yeah. And then I'm like, hey, I miss you. Can you come back to the room? I'll come and sit on the bench while you make bread, okay? I'm going to do my scripts while I'm sitting there. And, like, that is the reality of our life. Yeah. But there's, like, in the majority of a relationship or marriage, whether it be short or long, there is that time in between where you are just an individual and you are decompressing, whether that's going out like you said or saying you'll be reading a book or writing a fucking script in your room. You know, like, there is this level of, like, independence still within relationships. Yeah. But I think van life makes it very hard to have that individuality. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, despite the breathtaking landscapes and the promise of autonomy, the couple soon encountered the pressures of van life, like we were saying before. Yeah. Yeah. And they're young, you know? So the weight of managing day-to-day logistics started to show. Yeah. And that's all new. It's all new to them. But they've only just left home. They've never lived on their own. They've never slatted or anything. They went from, what, separate, you know, living with their mom and dad to them both living with his mom and dad. And now they're out. Yeah. Yeah. It's not that it's, like, skipping, and I'm air-coiding this, but skipping a few steps. It's just that, like, if we look at the normal trajectory in which most people go, it's like, we'll move into a flat together, and then move in together on our own, and then we'll go do van life after we're saved. Yeah. So they expedited. They kind of, like, bum-rushed stuff in their relationship. Yeah. Which is a good way to do it because then you're not wasting money on paying rent and all that sort of thing. Absolutely. So by mid-August 2021, the excitement of travel started to mix with the strain of an unrelenting lifestyle. Gabby's texts became more reflective. One message she sent around August 9th mentioned feeling a bit lost on the open road and questioned this constant movement that's beginning to take its toll on her well-being. So then on August 12th of 2021, events took a sudden and serious turn. In Moab, Utah, a situation escalated into a police intervention. According to official reports, at around 8 p.m. local time, a 911 call was made about a disturbance in the van. Officers arrived to find a tense scene. Gabby appeared visibly shaken, while Brian maintained that their disagreement was only temporary. During that intense evening in Moab on August 12th, 2021, things took an unexpected turn. When the police arrived, the situation was already highly charged. Officers reported that Gabby was visibly distraught and that Brian's demeanor was defensive. In their assessment, the officers deemed the situation serious enough to intervene immediately. According to all the official accounts, after assessing the incident, the police separated the couple, and Brian was escorted to a nearby hotel for the night to help de-escalate the situation while Gabby remained in the van. The instructions were clear. The officers told them not to speak to one another until the following morning in order to let James's call and gather separate statements. Look, this whole part of their story pisses me off. There's so many dynamics to that one little interaction. So what happened was they were driving through town and a couple saw a man slapping a woman in a car, so they called the police, and the police obviously tracked them down, pulled them over. She did have marks on her face, but he had scratches on his face. And so they treated that whole situation like he was the battered man, and she had done that to him. Well, initially, I feel like initially, though, the police did, I think because I've watched some of the body cam footage, and I feel like the police were definitely like, you know, she's saying, like, they're saying that she is the aggressor, but we don't, like, we don't feel convinced. And then eventually they're kind of like, well, if that's what they're saying happened, then that's what must have happened. And that part kind of fucks me off. That's the issue because they just, to me, it feels like they don't have enough training around domestic abuse. Because if you've actually, which I have lived in a domestic abuse situation, when you are the victim, for want of a better word, you give off vibes that you are not the victim, because that is your fucking strength. That is the only thing you have left to control. That is literally your flare, the one thing that you have to grab their attention. But they also, they blame you. The abuser will blame you. And so then you start to believe that it is your fault. If I was just better behaved, if I just did what he told me to do, or she, I'm not saying women can be abusers too. I'm not saying that just in this situation and in my situation, it was the man abusing the woman. The thing is, as well, for me, like, this comes to an official statement that Brian's been defensive and she was visibly distraught. Already that dynamic is completely flipped for who they came to the conclusion that was the aggressor. Do you know what I'm saying? It makes no fucking sense. And what's more distressing for me, personally, was seeing that a woman was also called, like, a woman officer was called to the scene as well. She's more, I don't know if you've watched it in depth, like, on the Netflix, because it extends the body count a little bit more. But she was more, like, on his side than the men officers were. I almost feel like, because the men, the male officers, weren't convinced, if she had said, neither am I, as a woman, I just feel, or something. I feel like it could actually sort of change the outcome a little of, like, this particular situation with the officers. Like, you know, at the end of the day, we're about to see what happens anyway. Okay, so they go off, you know, he goes off to a hotel. The reason they took, so they said, you need to go stay somewhere else. And he's like, well, this is our accommodation. I can't afford anything else. They're like, you need to stay at a hotel. He said, I can't, we can't afford that. Like, we've got a very strict budget or whatever. And so the cops took him to, like, it's like, it's for domestic violence victims. It's a hotel. There's any hotel, but the state pays for it, basically. They go, you know, you're a battered woman, battered man. You go and stay here. That's how we get you out of the situation. They left this young, early 20s girl in a van by herself to go and, like, find some campsite to sleep in a fucking car by herself and let him go and sleep in comfort. And the clip of her fucking crying, it's raining and shit. It is heartbreaking. I can feel it in my chest when she is like, she's, she doesn't know what to say. Because if she had said the truth, she would have been in more shit with Brian. A hundred percent. The cops are already leaning towards believing Brian over her that he's got scratch marks. Why the fuck would she scratch him for no reason? A hundred percent. She wouldn't. And it's also, like, self-defense. Hello. A hundred percent. Yeah. This case is actually just so distressing. Having watched the documentary, even following it on TikTok, it was just so distressing how many markers were just missed. Like, just outwardly fucking missed. Yeah. And it wasn't even that long ago. Sorry. I know. It stresses me out, too. And like I said to Matt, like, because Matt's kind of only introduction to this was watching the Netflix series. And he's like, you know, why? You know, they could have stopped. I said, look, at the end of the day, they're always going to get back together because that's just the cycle. There's nothing the cops could have actually done to separate them. They're adults. They just, they make their own decisions. So, you know, unfortunately, anyway. So, obviously, they separated for the night, like you said, and the cops said don't talk to each other until tomorrow. But despite those instructions, witnesses and later text messages revealed that the couple couldn't keep their communication entirely at bay. Gabby, still shaken from the encounter, reportedly sent a brief message in frustration, asking if Brian was truly okay and if he understood how unsettling the whole experience had been. And even though Brian was at the hotel, by some accounts, they managed a few terse exchanges that night. In one documented snippet, Gabby texted, I know we're not supposed to talk, but I need to know that you're safe. Brian's response, which he later downplayed as concern, was something along the lines of, I'm fine. We'll sort it out in the morning. That small moment of connection against the backdrop of police intervention and enforced separation underscored the emotional strain that they were both under. I mean, naturally, she'd want to reach out. Like, even if she's the victim of DV, like. It's actually, especially because of that. It's a trauma bond. It is. It's exactly, when I do this, I can remember, I mean, this is like 15 years ago that I was in a domestic violence situation. Marriage, actually. Yes. And I can, I know, I know exactly what she was going through. You are scared that they're going to leave you. It should be exciting. They should, you know, you should want them to leave you because you don't want them to be treated. What you want is their love bonding that they next do. My therapist, when I left my ex, who was abusive, she kind of described it as, like, you, when you commit to this person, you've already fought for them. Right. So, despite, like, maybe your friend saying, like, I don't know if this person's right for you or your family saying that, you've already fought for them. You've already staked everything on it. And then, when they're horrible to you and then they're nice to you, you hang on to the nice parts. And it's almost like you hang out, you can withstand all the hard, but just for those little crumbs of love bonding that you get in between. And it becomes a cycle of, like, they are both destroying you and uplifting you at the same time. Again, that's a high and a low that you become addicted to as well. Yes. It is. And the abuse cycle is, you know, something happens, the abuse happens, then the love bond. And then it's like the tense, I'm waiting for it to happen again, waiting for it to happen again. And so, a lot of the time, once you've been in the cycle for a while, you will do something to piss them off enough that they will abuse you in whichever way you're being abused, emotional, physical, whatever it is. But you will, subconsciously, you're not going out and going, can you just hit me? But you do something subconsciously to make them do it because that's your control. I'm going to control the situation because it's going to happen anyway, so I'll make sure it happens now. Yes. Because all I'm living for is the love bond. Once you do it, then I know that things are going to be good for a certain amount of time. And I'm not saying that that's what happened here. No, we're just speaking from our experience. That's what the abuse cycle is. She's reaching out because she wants to know. She's distraught. And you can see in that body cam, she's anxious. Like I say, you can feel it in your chest that she just wants to be loved and she just wants to be made sure everything's okay. Despite the whole interaction that was being reported to the police, she didn't want to leave him alone. She didn't want to be without him. Yes. Look at statistics because they speak for themselves, right? It takes, what, at least seven attempts for someone to leave an EV situation? Yes. You know, humans, we are wired to be completely logical at the very end of the day as well. We are very ruled by our emotions. Yes, exactly. It's a fascinating, it's troubling detail. The police's directive was intended to help both parties cool down and avoid further escalation. Yet that very night, the couple's brief contact hinted at unresolved issues and a longing to be understood, even in the midst of chaos. Yes, and this incident in Moab and the unauthorized exchange of messages after the directive provides a clear window into the complicated dynamics at play, like we were saying before. Under immense pressure, even strict boundaries set by law enforcement, they couldn't entirely sever the fragile thread of communication between Gabby and Brian. Following that incident, Gabby texted her mother a brief message. Mom, the police just stopped by. They say it was nothing major, but I'm really shaken. The brevity and worry in her message hinted at deeper tension than Brian's reassurances could mask. I almost feel like she was just saying to her mom, like, something's happened. It's not that big of a deal. I don't want you to get too worried, but I'm very, very shaken up. The incident in Moab was more than just a temporary disruption. It was a signal that the pressures of van life were beginning to erode even the strongest moments of optimism. At this point, we see the transformation. A couple once enamored by shared ambition now facing the heavy reality of sustaining that dream amid escalating personal turmoil. So, after the incident in Moab on August 12th, things began shifting dramatically. On August 17th, Brian left Gabby behind to flight to Tampa, Florida. Sources indicate he claimed he needed to handle urgent family matters and thought through some unresolved personal issues. The decision was sudden and left Gabby to navigate the next chapter of the journey largely on her own. That's like the worst. Like, they're having this volatile issue, and he's like, Byeee! I'm off to Tampa, bitch! Yeah. Like, so, you know, he had some personal... I need some personal shit to sort out. But he was also going and, like, clearing out his, like, storage locker. Like, in the middle of their life. He's like, you know what? I've had a thought. Just had a thought about something. That I should probably just do some, like, spring cleaning this weekend. Like, what are you even doing, you zip shit? It was fucking random. It was so weird. Well, understandably, while Gabby pressed on, alone in the van and with the raw uncertainty of the road ahead, her resolve was reflected in the steady stream of check-ins she sent to her mother. On August 18th, she texted her mom, Mom, I'm still on the move. It's quiet out here, but I'm managing. I wish Brian was here so we could face this together. In that message, you can sense both her determination and the growing weight of responsibility on her shoulders. Despite the emotional distance created by Brian's departure, the journey continued. On August 20th, Gabby made a necessary stop at a local Walmart outside a small Utah town to restock on essentials. Later that day, she sent another update. Just got supplies from Walmart. Everything's routine, but this routine feels heavier than usual. This routine snapshot speaks volumes about how everyday tasks began to blend with mounting stress. And, like, doing all the things that she would have done with Brian. We're talking about someone who was a victim of DV. Yep. She's, like, needing that dose of him lifting her up again and doing the routine things with her. This is the saddest part. Like, he left and she could have had freedom and gone shit, actually. But she focused on the loneliness of it. Which, yeah, being out in the open, like we said before, there is that element of loneliness anyway, even with him. Yeah. There is, you know, but I just, obviously, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I just wish she had gone, you know what? Like, this is actually peaceful. There's no fighting. I can do this. I've got this independence. I've got this strength, this personal. But she, it was, it was too soon. Like, it was too, yeah. It wasn't a, I've decided to leave the relationship on her part. It was a, he's left me. She would have been dealing with a lot going on inside her. The other thing is, I feel like if she was home around her friends and went through that process of moving on, for example, it's like, okay, we're going to go out. We're going to get you dinner. We're going to go to the movies. We're going to do girly things. But she was on her own in this fucking van, continuing something that she had dreamed up with Brian. Yeah. So, it just makes it all the more, like, you can just feel it through these texts that she was just so sad. So, around August 23rd, after spending several days alone on the highway, there was a significant shift. Brian, after spending time in Tampa, decided he needed to reconnect. According to reports, he flew back that day to rejoin Gabby, citing that he felt things had come too fragmented and that he owed it to her, sorry, he owed it to their shared dream to try and make sense of what was happening. Text exchanges from that evening reveal a mix of relief and residual tension. One exchange noted a brief message from Brian. Quote, I'm back. Let's talk when you're ready. So it turns out, yeah, that he was, I guess, trying to be maybe away from her phone. I don't know whether he left her phone in the van and then he took his so that, you know, there was a, oh, we weren't together at that time type thing. And then called his mom and dad and then the whole thing. Then obviously he goes home. And still no one is saying where she is or that he's home. And then someone's like, hey, I know that everyone's looking for this Gabby Petito. Her van is in the driveway here. And then cops go over to their house. And the cops go and from body cam footage, his parents are standing inside the door and they're like, we don't want to talk to you. You can talk to our lawyer. Here's the lawyer's phone number. Bro, we all know that when you don't talk and you go, just call my lawyer. Bro, it's an admission of guilt. Listen, as a consumer, to me, that's an admission of guilt. Yeah, me too. And obviously they can't use that. It's not evidence or anything of anything. If we were to go into public perception, they're looking really fucking stupid right now. And again, not giving you ideas or anything, but no one thought about burner phones to call the lawyer to anything. Why go through all the trouble if you can get your ass caught anyway? Or looking like this? Do you know what I mean? It's just so like, there was no forethought. And it's like, if the impression was that they knew all along that this might eventuate to this, it's like y'all planned for nothing. Literally nothing. Stupid. So through all that, Brian's back. He won't talk to the police. The parents always come to the door and they say, no, he doesn't want to talk to you. Call the lawyer, blah, blah, blah. Then the police are looking up. They look in the van. Obviously they can't touch it. They don't have a warrant or anything like that. Then they look up and they go, do you know who this van belongs to? Not the two of them. Gabby. Yeah, yeah. So because it's Gabby's, the tow truck comes and he's like, yep, I'll come. The cops are like, come and pick up the van. The tow truck guy's like, can I even touch this? Like, is this a, you know, what's happening here? And they were like, just don't touch anything. Don't open it. Don't go inside, don't do anything. Just take it to where we've told you to take it. They take it. And they look for it and obviously she's not in there. This is before they found her body. They're trying to find clues. In the end, it does get dropped back to the laundry's house because I guess, you know, if you really look at it, it's probably a bit of Brian's too, but they were able to take it because it was Gabby's. And the laundry's move it into, I'm guessing, the storage, away from the driveway so that people aren't talking about the fact that the van's there and she ain't. So this whole fucking thing is going on. Yeah, it was just a wild bloody time. And I just still can't believe that they couldn't get a warrant to speak to Brian, the person who last knew her whereabouts and then left her wherever the fuck she is and took her vehicle to Florida. It literally makes no sense to me. I just, how could you not get a warrant? No, yeah, it makes no sense. Literally last person was seen with her. Yeah. Oh, and also, sorry, one thing that I missed is, so they called the lawyer, blah, blah, blah. And then they made a massive transfer of money to the lawyer. And the amount of money that went to the lawyer, you're kind of like, that's not a, hey, can you just like sort out some like disagreement for us? It was a, you know, like a murder amount of money. Yeah. Like it was a, yes, retainer is going to be high as fuck. So, and also, like, I don't really know how American law works, but surely if you call up even a lawyer and say, I killed someone, or I know that someone killed someone, surely there is an onus on the lawyer to say, I'm pretty sure it's part of the bar. I imagine the conversation like this. Yeah, they would have been, they would have been smart. I mean, I don't know because they're not that smart. They might have been. But it's like my son's girlfriend has potentially gone missing. He's afraid to speak to the police about it. And in case anything further has happened with someone else, we don't know, you know, we would need a lawyer to defend our son just in case he looks very bad. Yeah. You know what I mean? It looks bad because they're out together, but she's gone missing and he don't know where she is. Yeah. Or whatever. Filling in all those lines. I imagine because there is an ethics code with lawyers. Yeah. And so, yeah, I would say so. Yeah. I just don't know how American law works, so maybe they don't have to because it's a, hey, just checking that this is a confidential right. Like I can just tell you anything and you're just going to like, I don't know. I'm pretty sure if there's an admission or something. And honestly, you'll find a lot of the times that if you actually watch like really big lawsuits that involve a lot of murder or sexual misconduct and stuff, lawyers will end up recusing themselves if they start believing that actually I can't defend this person effectively because I fully believe they did this. They recuse themselves. Okay. So then came a startling development. Because you literally have cell phones, emergency services. She's fucking fell, she's fallen, she's in so much pain. I don't know what to do. I'm scared she's going to die. Also, the issue is, because at this point he knows that she's being found and there is a cause of death. And the cause of death is blunt force trauma and strangulation. So he knows, like, they know. So he's admitting that he's strangled. So he's like, they're going to believe me. But obviously the blunt force trauma, which people are like, he's hit her with something, like a rock. He's like, no, she slipped in the river and hit her head on a rock. You know, like, some people could be believing of that story. Hopefully very few people, because I don't think that's true.
