Bangor code officer Jeff Wallace does not know building code requirements for fastening siding or exterior insulation. Nor does he know that the exterior insulation was also serving as the weather-resistive barrier, which required specific installation measures that a contractor did not follow. Wallace describes my telling him the code requirement a difference "opinion." The code is CLEAR.
