The transcription emphasizes the importance of having no other gods before the true God, focusing on Jesus' sacrifice, and putting God first in all aspects of life. It discusses prioritizing God in daily life, family relationships, career, money, pets, artificial intelligence, food, and thought life. The message stresses seeking God first, balancing life, and avoiding distractions that can become idols. Maintaining a close relationship with God and aligning all aspects of life with His will is highlighted as essential for a fulfilling and purposeful existence. Hello everyone, it's been a little while since we've shared together. Let's look at Exodus chapter 20 verse 3. And God spake and said thou shall have no other gods before me. If we have other gods before the only true God of heaven and earth. Our attention and focus, let me tell you, is definitely divided. Our hearing is dull. We are prone to make mistakes and make them more often than not. Our respect is diminished, double-minded, which causes confusion of every sort. And we know who is the author of confusion. The word says Satan is the author of confusion. Our protection is threatened and you know we waste a lot of time. In recent weeks we have just celebrated the resurrection and remembrance of our Lord and Savior Jesus who was according to Mark chapter 14 verses 32 through 42. And it says Jesus began to agonize and be sorrowful of what he had to face. The government was on his shoulders. He took his closest disciples with him to pray. Verse 35 he was beyond distraught and asked God the Father could it be possible an hour might pass from now. He knew all things through his Father was possible. No one else could have gone to the cross and paid the price for mankind. The Bible says he could have called 10,000 angels to rescue him. Jesus made the choice to have no other God before him. He remained one with the Father in the redemption plan for man. The idolized request to not be the sacrifice was retracted. He knew his mission on earth and fulfilled it as the Father planned. Yes nevertheless not what I will but what thou wilt. St. Mark chapter 14 verse 36. He trusted God and placed his spirit in his hands. No other substitute could replace what God had planned for Jesus his son to redeem the world back to himself. No other. Jesus did not allow to put the plan of his father in jeopardy. Satan tried to tempt him on many accounts at his weakest point but he failed. As we continue our lesson let's make this personal. If Jesus was tempted you better believe Satan would and will tempt us today. Ask yourself these questions. Do I actively include God in my daily life? Do I consider his statutes and commands or commandments? Is God an afterthought? Is God first in your life? There are many things that can stand in the way from God being first in our lives. For instance regarding our self. Me, me, me. Self of the Lord. It's all about me. Family relationships, children, grands, our career working all the time, our pets, overboard treatment, artificial intelligence. Now we're coming more up-to-date. Consulting, talking to it. Our hobbies, excessive involvement, taking up a lot of our time, eating excessively, thought life, negative thoughts, listening to the devil. No other God. Why does God want first place in our lives? He promised to take care of us, protect us, never leave us or forsake us. Right? So let's look at self awareness. A balanced life can only be obtained and maintained by putting first things first. Give God first place. How do we do that? God's word is practical and clear. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Hiding his word in our hearts. Regarding self and whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. That's found in Matthew 23 and 12. Let God exalt you. Humble yourself before him. He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19 and 17. As God leads you, think about the welfare of others. It's an act of love to the Lord God. As the scripture says, as you do on the least of these you've done it unto me. Talk to our Father God. Thou art my God. I will praise thee. Thou art my God. I will exalt thee. Psalm 118. So now regarding family. Train up a child in the way he should go. And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22 and 6. And that from a child that has known the holy scriptures which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3 and 15. A Christlike parent will not spoil their child. They will not spare chastening when needed and necessary. The child will receive proper upbringing and better chances of being a good and successful product of society. They will respect others. Children will always love you when you care and show them God's love. Now, husband and wife. We can put God first and have no other God before him even in our relationship. You put God first in your marriage. Relationship by loving and respecting and honoring one another. This is God's way of honoring him and one another. Likewise, be wise in being subject to your own husband. That in obeying not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wife. 1 Peter 3 and 1. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the wife. He is the head of the church and he is the Savior of the body. Ephesians 5, verses 23-25. Again, that's Ephesians 5, verses 23-25. Verses 24-25 I want you to read in your study form. How about our career, our job, hobby, and money. Now we're going to put all those together. No other God. The parable of the rich young ruler. We'll look at it. It's in Mark chapter 10, verse 24. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get well, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8 and 18. If your finances need work, take what resources are available to you to improve your outcomes. Keep a good balance not to bring on more physical stress. My loved one before retiring, I can say was a workaholic. Ate unhealthy meals late at night provided by the job. A perfect recipe for a medical event to happen. One day it happened, the unthinkable. It's not worth it. Their job life balance was totally off. Totally off of the will of God. It's not God's will for us to live a stressful life. Pray and ask God for wisdom instead of serving ourselves constantly. Think about investing your time into someone else's life. Make sure it is their ground though. Do not let your job consume you. No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and manna, and manna is money. Matthew 6 and 24. I have shown you all these things, how that by laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is blessed to give than to receive, and as found in Acts chapter 20 verse 35. Now, other things that might take us away from spending more time with God and putting him first. Many of us have pets. Yes we do. I even have two felines. They're so much fun. We all love our furry friends. They are a part of our family. However, we should keep them in their place. If we are spending more time with them, that means with our pets than time with God. It is an idol in our lives. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. 1 John 5 and 21. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6 and 33. I love that scripture because if we seek God first, everything else will line up and fall in place, and it will be a good balance. If you put him first, he will give you. There is time for all these other things. Amen. If any man serve me, let him follow me, and where I am, there shall also my servant be. If any man serve me, him will my Father honor. John chapter 12 verse 26. God will honor you if you serve the Lord, if you serve Jesus, if you serve our Master and King. Your life will be well balanced, and God will be first. Now, let's talk about artificial intelligence. Yes, we have arrived now in our day. AI, robots of many forms are replacing human interaction, so to speak. Technology is advancing so fast, it is increasingly becoming difficult to keep up with. We must exercise wisdom as we integrate it into our lives. Keeping a balance is very important. It can be a positive or negative tool at our fingertips. Hold fast to what is real and has eternal value. You may even have to be retrained, but keep God first and he will lead and guide you. Jesus answered and said unto them, Say ye that no man deceives you. Matthew 24. Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Ephesians 5 and 6. 2 Thessalonians 2 and 3. Now, let's talk about food. I love to cook. Eating sustains life, right? We've talked about it before. Food can be a tool to get people together. Everybody is hungry at times. Fellowship together and breaking bread, even Jesus said to people. Always put God first in whatever we do. We can make a God out of food. Some people do. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6.19-20. Overeating and also eating foods that are not healthy will affect your health. Many sicknesses come from what we are eating and the quantity thereof. Self-control is good. No other God puts before Him. Put God first. Amen. Lastly, how about our thought life? Our mind? Putting God first. Not having no other God before. Thinking on things more than God. We can think about our problems more than God. We can exalt our problems and our situations and think about it more than God. It's probably not going to make God happy and it's not going to solve any problems for you. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26.3. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8.6. Allowing to let God's thoughts be our thoughts is living, wholeness, pleasing in His sight. He is a jealous God. Our thought life, our minds need protection from the enemy. Desire the mind of Christ. Amen. All of these areas in our life can have precedence. Before we even know it, we're thinking about something so much that we're not even thinking about our Heavenly Father, putting Him first. These thoughts will turn into actions and before we know it, we're doing many things that the Lord does not want us to do. Let's pray. Dear Father God, we thank you for your statutes and laws that will lead and guide us closer to you. We open our hearts, our spirit to you. Your truths endure forever and by your grace, oh God, and mercy, we will follow you the rest of our days. You are our Alpha and Omega. We're nothing without you. We will have no other gods before you. We love you, dear Lord, because you first loved us. In Jesus name, Amen. Our God is ever present. This ends our lesson for today. This is Lucretia Jordan. We would like to thank Robin and Matthew Anderson for the prayer and share and invitation to intercede in prayer for our nation on Metta and New Generation Christian Family Matters Podcast for making our presentation possible to you. God bless you as our prayer. God bless you. You
